Default A/C vacuum source 'T' for '70

I am trying to determine where the air conditioning vacuum circuit gets is source vacuum from. I had car completely apart and have installed all new hoses. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of all the hoses before I took the car apart.

According to the AIM, it looks like the A/C vacuum circuit gets its vacuum from the w/w vacuum circuit somewhere on the firewall. It says to splice into a black line with yellow stripe. I can't find where that is supposed to be. Does anyone have a picture of where this vacuum 'T' is for a '70 car? Am not sure if its the same as for other years or not. thanks, Steve

Hello Steve
There is a grommet that is just off center to the passenger side. Three small vacuum lines run through it. The one with the green strip runs back through the firewall to the A/C plenum actuator. The one with the white strip to the water shut off valve. The black one goes to a T fitting that taps the large yellow stripe vacuum line. There is a metal vacuum tube that runs across the firewall that the yellow line connects to about three inches back from that connection is where mine is tapped. That T fitting was not included in my vacuum line kit. It has two large inlets and one small line inlet that make it a bit unique. My car was stripped when I got it so I did not have a factory reference for this fitting. I hope this is some help to you.

Thank you for the reply. Yes that does help. I see there is a metal vacuum line on the AIM, but my car did not have that metal vacuum line on it. In my car, the long metal vacuum line was replaced with a rubber line. But the line did not have a yellow stripe. And there are only 3 vacuum hoses in the vacuum hose kit that I bought that have yellow stripes. Two run along the drivers fender. And the third is inside the interior, behind the drivers lower dash pad.

Can you take a picture showing this large vacuum hose with yellow stripe and where the 'T' is in relation to it? Steve

Hi Steve,
I was looking at the vacuum diagram that came with my vacuum line kit it says 71-72. I could not imagine what the difference might be from a 70 until I went on a vendors website and compared diagrams. It looks like a 70 does not have the metal vacuum line that runs along the firewall. I hope someone with a 70 can confirm this.
