On most C3 Vettes you need AT LEAST 1/2 inch of spacing. I use 3/4 inch spacing (1/2 inch spacer + 1/4 inch spacer + long lug nuts).
I get more than enough thread because the long lug nuts are very long. On my 69' (sold), I used only 1/2 inch spacing and the wheels got loose because the long lug nut hit the rotor assembly and didn't tighten the wheels enough (because they are too long). With more spacing I was able to tighten the wheels perfectly. I have already close to 8000 miles on my car with this setup and I had no problems at all. All lug-nuts are still very tight!!

Olivier

With the reverse offset you need some big flares but the reverse offset looks way !!!

If using 1/2 inch spacing - just make sure that the lug nuts are not hitting the rotor assembly and that the wheels are tight! If the lug nuts are a little too long - you can just grind off 1/10 inch and you should be ok!

Having never seen the car in question, I take it your plan is to put flairs on it in the future??

The Cragars will fit any C3 with the correct spacing and lug nuts. I have seen them on late and early C3 Vettes and had them on my 69 and now on my 68...

Summit sent me the wrong lugs and no spacer and the wheels hit the calipers. Summit tried to tell me I ordered the wrong backspacing, but I knew that was not the problem. I called Cragar and they told me the part numbers for the spacers and lugs I needed. Call them if you need to and they will set it straight.

I bought my spacers and lug nuts at a local parts store. Most of them parts stores carry them (PEP Boys, Autozone,.....)
