the system has the proper amt of fluid and the pads are all good.
however i have to apply reah heavy pedal pressure to stop the damn thing. Any suggestions?

To Test booster get in car and apply brakes with foot pressing on brake pedal start the car. if Pedal sinks upon start booster is good.
If pedal doesn't move booster is either bad or no vacuum being applied to booster

got in car put foot on pedal and it sank, pumped it once and it came firm. then started with foot on pedal and it sank
what do you think?
If your master cylinder was replaced make sure you do a good bench bleed on it. If that is good, bleed only in the following sequence:
Left rear inner
Left rear outer
Right rear inner
Right rear outer
Left front
Right front
If your brake pedal feels any sponginess repeat the procedure.
If you have to apply excessive pedal pressure you could have a stuck caliper or one is sluggish.
