Default Air conditioning lines

I am installing new air conditioning on my 75. Do I have to remove the hood to replace the upper line at the condenser?

Thats how I do it. Not enough room to get wrenches in there.

You will have more room to work. And from experience, I've seen the condenser fitting and the nut on the line nearly corroded into one piece. Meaning a pair of really BIG LONG wrenches. Sometimes a little heat is needed. But sometimes you get lucky too.

I could start the nut and get it threaded with the hood on but had to take the hood off to get it tight.

I just changed my hoses. Used crowfoot wrenches with extensions and ratchets. Worked great.
