Default broken bellhousing

So i went off road a little and a huge a rock tore off a chunk of my bell housing. Transmission oil is leaking everywhere. Towed it home how much do you think its going to cost me to fix this? Just estimates. A few thousand? 1 thousand?

Is it a 4 speed stick or auto th400???

Are you sure it's the bellhouseing that is causing the leak? Breaking the lower lip off the bellhouse is not unusual and does not cause a problem. The oil pan hangs down almost as far as the bellhouse. If you did hit something large enough to damage the bellhouse and transmission (which is higher than the oil pan) it would have hit the engine oil pan first. Could it be a leaking or torn oil pan? Did you get under the car and inspect it? I hit road debris and holed an oil pan once, and didn't know it was leaking until the next morning when the driveway was an oil slick.

Who can say? All we know is that you're leaking tranny fluid. Crawl under and find the source of the leak.
