Bought a Moroso 1 piece oil pan gasket and can't get it compressed enough to get any of the bolts in. If i push it down on one side, the other side pops up too high. Do you normally have to get longer bolts when using these gaskets?
There are two different thicknesses for the portion of the seal that runs between the oil pan and timing chain cover. I had leaks because i needed the thicker gasket and had the thinner one. You could potentially have the opposite situation happening. My experience was with fel-pros

Thanks guys - the pan I have requires the thicker gasket. The only thing is, I feel like there is too much gasket material on both ends that will prevent the sides from making a good seal. I wish the Moroso came with new bolts like the Fel-Pro - both are the same price now at Summit.
cagotzmann - do you remember what size bolts you used?

I dont remember the size but there are 2 sizes. The end units at the crank and balancer. Total 4 bolts, and the remaining bolts. I just took both types and bought some grade 8 that where 1/4" longer. also purchased some locking washers.
