Today was the day to take my 74 Corvette out of winter storage and get it back on the road. It has a borg warner T-10 4 speed with a standard steering column. When I got in the car the steering wheel is locked, I can't turn it side to side except for about a half inch of play in the wheel. I also can't turn the key. The car is in neutral and I can move it forward and back in neutral but still can't turn the wheel or key. Everything was functioning perfectly when I parked it in the garage in December. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Please disregard. Problem solved. I am quite embarrassed to say I had the wrong key.

I know a car salesman who broke the ignition key off in the column on what he thought was his demonstrator. He walked home and came back the next day, got in and drove away. Turns out it was a customer's identical car parked near where his had been. It was after all, bowling night, and there was a bit of alcohol involved, he thought he just had too much to drink and couldn't hit the keyhole. Needless to say when the customer had his car towed in the next day it was repaired for free, making the salesman look like a hero. Gotta love living in a small town.
