71 Coupe dash brace ?

71 Coupe dash brace ?

I was doing some prep work before installing my dash pads and notice my January 71 car does not have the trans tunnel brackets or reinforcement bars as show on the 71 AIM drawings(sheet A9). Is it possible the early cars where set up different?

The AIM shows two support rods on the passengers side and one on the drivers side, is this correct for all 71 coupes?

I believe the braces where only used on convertibles.

At the bottom of that page, right side, it says 19467. That means convertible only. Coupe only would have 19437.

Bingo. 19000 indicates all cars; 19467 convertibles only; 19437 coupes only.

Thanks, I've never really learned the "legend" on the AIM. I will now officially quit trying to install dash bracing on my coupe.
