1981 parking brake mishap .. help???
Forgot to pull down my parking brake on a 1981 corvette. the back started smoking. And now the wheels are bowed out. Feels like the wheels are about to come off. Dumb *** me was in a hurry to get to work. can anyone give me advice please.

not sure what you mean by the wheels are bowed out, picture? That almost sounds like the strut rods loosened up but cannt see how that would be caused by what you did. Start taking things apart to determine what is damaged. You probably destroyed the parking brakes meaning the rear disks have to come off for inspection.

My thoughts; plan on rebuilding the trailing arms as the rotors got waaay over heated which likely boiled the grease out of the bearing, so the spindle is likely toast as well. So new rotors, bearings, spindle....yep....TA rebuild time.
Of course the parking brake shoes are gone.
No big deal though...nothing that $1k will not fix.
