the Great Pumpkin at last has its born with side pipe covers.
I used the original cover set I found at the NCRS weekend swap meet here in Kissimmee and put together the exhaust system with parts from several vendors.
I went with Classic Chambered Exhaust 50/50 Corvette side pipe mufflers. They are 3" od with 2 1/4 inside louvered pipe. they are 48" OAL. I then bought the rectangle tips in S/S from Sweet Thunder.
I was already running with Shorty S/S headers and 2 1/2" S/S pipe to the Patriot lake pipes I have run for years. I reworked some of the existing pipes and with the help of a couple more bends and a piece of straight S/S tubing from E-bay, I had everything together just in time to attend the Good Guys event herre in Kissimmee this past weekend.
The sound is a bit different from what I have been listening to for years, but I like it. The 3" od pipes also tuck under the covers and can't be seen unless you stand on your head.
Bill, I can't wait to hear them? Can you post a video on YouTube. The Guy's over at Sweet Thunder are Great. I have a new SS set of side pipes coming for when I get home (June 24) from Sweet Thunder. I can't wait to hear them either.
