P/S pump shaft endplay ???

P/S pump shaft endplay ???
How much is too much and is there any way to adjust it?
72 with the old style keyway shaft. Just setting up my pulleys and notice there is more play than I would have thought. When it's pulled forward it lines up nicely.

Any noticeable side to side motion of the driveshaft to the pump housing is NOT acceptable.

A slight but noticeable movement of the driveshaft in and out of the pump housing is acceptable. I thought there was an actual spec on the amount of movement but I can't find it. That slight amount of allowable movement actually allows the pulley to center itself to the engine pulley system.
Any noticeable side to side motion of the driveshaft to the pump housing is NOT acceptable.
