The owner of the shop across the way from me, came over to see what I was into now. I was under the dash hooking up the heater ducts. He offered me the use of he smoke machine. Yes. Now I can fine the one leak I have in the dash and check the windows. That was real nice of him. I didn't tell him his younger brother let me use it 2 weeks ago to check my vacuum lines. He would have had a cow. lol
I have one.
I can tell you this I love it.
If you want some more ideas for uses look on youtube.
Vac lines, evap system (really need CO2 or Nitrogen so your not putting oxygen in the gas tank) intake leaks, oil pan/engine leaks, transmission, axle leaks, exhaust leaks, door seal leaks.
Good to have if you know what all and how to use it.
I used one as far back as '85. When there was a windshield leak, other Techs would spend time looking with the hose on the wash rack. I would get a Service Advisor to take a break and lay under the dash smoking a cig. I always found leaks faster.
