Lets Talk DCR





The current 327 runs 160 on the highway and 180 idling in traffic...(new Dewitts aluminum radiator and aluminum water pump) No crossover passages, and oil shield present on intake.
I am ok losing a little bottom end, as its a 383 and the extra cubes should more than make up for a slightly wilder cam...
I was initially looking at 240+ duration at .050....but I think 230 was recommended. I was shooting for .6 lift also, but the cams recommended are only .520-ish.
I had a Howards roller .510 230* in my L82 and it was on the mild side.
