Radiator Leak...
Got a small Rad leak .Any good stop leak out there i just want to keep her going through the summer . I'm gonna change the rad over the winter .Should i go with the aluminum or Good old brass??

Might be a bunch of people out there that disagree with me, but Barr's Stop Leak works very well. Put in the entire bottle and run it. If the leak is not too much of a hole it will seal. After the season and BEFORE you change radiators, drain it out, put in the backflush valve, put in the cooling system flush stuff and flush and backflush. Then change the radiator out. Since you are going this route, change all the hoses, water pump and t-stat. Will save you grief later.
Go with the aluminum since you have to change it out. Not a real easy job, in fact I have found it to be a royal PITA. Good luck.

If the leak is small enough, i would recommend just adding coolant as needed. If it stops a leak in your rad, imagine what it does in your engine block. i redid the coolant system this spring. not a fun job, but well worth the effort. ive had no problems since.
