Default My first engine re build...yikes

Thanks so much too! I have done plenty of work on cars over the past 20 years or so. But I have never done the big RE BUILD.

This engine was in a million pieces when I bought it. But I think I'm all good, really....;/. I researched for weeks before I even started. I had to learn a couple lessons the hard way. I know now that new valve guide seals goes on top of the spring and not under it. Found that out when I primed the system with oil. Lots of oil on valve stems not good. lol. And then I had to learn how important it is stuff rags in openings so a washer wont fall inside the engine. ;{

Now I have to learn the vacuum system and how it works. I know the basics though. I just have to match everything up. My baby was stolen back in 2005. It was stripped out and they ran it into a tree. Point is they just ripped out all the vacuum lines. So all the T's etc are broken. Huh. Do they have a kit that is for this model and year type?

this is one of the kits, assuming you have a 78?
