I know there are lots of posts about fixed headlights...but mine is a little different. I've always enjoyed the look of the LeMans L88 fixed headlights. Where can I get them?
Just cut the vacuum control line to the relays, and voila, they`ll be open all the time.. :smash: :smash:
Seriously..Does anyone have a better picture where you can see it a little bit more close up?
back in '98 i contacted a vette specialty shop in upstate NY.. they wanted $1k for the set-- that was just the clear covers. for that much money, they had better been the originals off the actual race car. i never called them back for an order.
I just happen to be customizing and installing a set right now. It's way too hot in the garage, but I've had too much of a break on my project, so I just keep sweatin' and scratchin'. :D I wasn't going to post this little project just to keep from offending the more "corvette correct" in the crowd ;) but what the heck, I'll try to get some pitures up on my websight tonight.
I don't know if they'll still sell them separate or not, but I bought the bubbles (clear) only from Guldstrand. I'm making my own light buckets, and well, you'll see...
Glad to see there are still some gutsy customizers out there. :D
thanks for the pics, i think those look  on a race car, just not sure how much i'd like them w/o the flares, paint scheme, ect :)
Post some pictures when you get them done, and good luck with the project!
The interesting thing I noticed when I was checking out the pictures of the AIR cars...was that there were no fender flares on the original race cars...

Rainman - You are right. The headlight covers were the only approved item for compettion in 1968. '69 was the year for fender flares and aluminum blocks.
