Safety Loop for Half Shafts
Going to be adding a set of these. They have 1/2" clearance on either side of the loop. You think they'd help any if a u-joint goes on the differential side? Their website is http://www.dragvette.com

that's a nice set there, but i wondered too what would happen if the diff side let loose. i've fabricated a double loop for mine using 1/4 X 1 cold rolled steel. haven't gotten the chance to fit them up yet, but they have a tighter fit than dragvettes version.

I think if the diff side gives out, you'll still have a major problem. Now, if they were to move that hoop more to the middle of the shaft, then it would do the job.
