Default Ground?

Hey everyone. Yesterday I finally got the opportunity to get the new Hooker Super Comp headers installed. The install wasn't to bad at all but now I have a problem. I had to remove the dipstick and tube in order to remove the old manifolds and install the new ones. When I removed the bolt holding the dip stick tube in (passenger side below the exhaust manifold) I noticed that it had an awful thick ground wire attached to the block with the same bolt. The ground runs about 8 inches to the frame near the passenger side motor mount. I can not for the life of me get this bolt back in with the new headers installed. Anyone have any idea what this ground is for? Can I just reattach it to one of the bolts near the timing cover on the front of the engine? Any help I can get would be appreciated. I'd like to finally get this thing fired up today

My '72 went from the pass side engine mount frame horn to the engine mount....about 6" long.....some go to some starter mount I not familiar with, but if you have enough length, it can go to one of the starter mount bolts, the long two vertical bolts that hold the thing.....

Thanks for the response guys. I'll just reroute the ground to another bolt. The oil tube is being held in place by a bolt above the manifold too so that should be sufficient for now (to keep it in place) until I yank the engine and tranny this winter...
