69 427 intake bolts

69 427 intake bolts

This is a tri power intake with stock heads.... Where do the first two bolt holes on the passenger side end up? Water jacket? Oil galley? Blind hole? Thanks

I can't say FOR CERTAIN, but I'm fairly sure they are blind holes. No coolant or oil will come out if you remove them.

Thanks... That's what I was hoping... Just wanted to be sure... Wonder if there is a reference that shows where the intake bolt holes in the heads end up ?

Dont know for certian either but my 68 427 seems to accumulate a little puddle of oil under the forwardmost intake manifold bolt on the passenger side after a few hundered miles after cleaning. I suspect due to casting variations on some heads that hole may get into the oil drain back area.
