Default Help me Identify where this wire goes.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/u1wrl9d5ir...2018.23.04.jpgI have a 1976 Corvette with an HEI distributor. The brown wire on the left side of the distributor is disconnected and I can not find where to hook it to. My Tachometer currently does not work. I thought it was a ground, but grounding it and the car will not start.

I am no mechanic, but I do figure things out and can turn a wrench.. ha... thanks for the help!!!!

Default Electronic Tach

It's the wire that goes to your electric tach. Look around in the vicinity and you will probably find the other part of the brown wire where it has somehow gotten cut.

Good luck... GUSTO
