Default Borgeson guys. Have a question

I have installed the Borgeson box with a Hydroboost, formerly a Steeroids system. When you installed the Borgeson box did you use the brass inserts in the fitting or use Oring fittings. I used the Orings since they were the same size as the Steeroids and just took them from Stteroids and put them in the box. The previous systems I installed I used the brass inserts. Any leakage problems with either. I have fired mine up and see some fluid but it may just be residual from the install. Can t drive it yet and I am waiting for brake lines from MC to block. I removed the line lock while doing this and ordered some new lines. Here are a 2 pictures of my plumbing. Always a challenge with the Ls3 swap. Of course everything is custom fitted.

Yes is was leaking. Just oozing PS fluid but it was a leak. It is only the return line out of the steering box. I pulled it back apart and replaced it with the brass insert and the appropriate fitting. Fired it up and let it run for about 5 minutes with no leaks.

Great to hear the LS3 with new exhaust and running with all the computer stuff working. Ran rich for a few minutes but clearing up now. Waiting for the brake lines to arrive then I should be able to get it out on the road. It has been about 2 1/2 years.

I purchased the o ring type fittings, but used the brass ones supplied, no leaks after 20K of all kinds of driving. Just finished 6K trip with a trip up and down Pikes Peak.
I like that LS3, looks good in a C3!

Gordonm, sorry for the off topic question. Could you tell me why you went from Steeroids to Borgenson? I am deciding between the two, and I think you are the first person I have heard of switching between them.

Nope I am always available to explain my switching things. I had the steeroids in my car for a couple of years with a gen1 SB and it worked very well. I swapped out to the LS3 and was never really satisfied with the plumbing of the whole system. It worked but looked sloppy and I was afraid it was going to rub and blow a line. Fast forward to now and I swapped out a standard box on a forum members car to a Borgeson. I really liked the feel. Very similar to the Steeroids but it was far better and easier plumbing. The lines did not go under things and it was just a cleaner install. Also the under car cleaned up a little. I expect the same performance from both I just liked the cleaner look. I can switch back if need be but one of the 2 systems will be for sale shortly when I get to finally drive this setup.

So I have one Oring, pressure side and one brass fitting, drain side and all seems to be leak free. I'm going to leave it like this and monitor it and see what happens. The Oring on the drain side never seemed like it fit. It screwed all the way down and bottomed put before it felt like the Oring got into the hole. Oh well. It's all good now. I'll take a picture of the new fitting a little later.
