908 vs 906 Vortec head

908 vs 906 Vortec head
Does anyone have any information on a 908 casting of a vortec head? I was looking to buy some this morning, but when the guy told me one was a 908 and the other is a 906 casting I got a little concerned. He mentioned he pulled them off a stock motor and he was under the impression that it was a left/right type issue. If any one can verify this, or tell me that people often get a 90"6" mixed up with a 90"8" due to the casting not being clear that would be good enough as well.
