I recently repair my ac system (converted to r134 with sanden compressor). Before I filled it with feron the system was vacuumed and was holding vaccum for 24 hours.
I never had working ac in my vette before so maybe its normal but when I turn off the car it makes a hissing sound for 10 seconds. Its coming from passanger side near condenser. Is it normal?

I have heard some A/C systems make that noise and others not, all with expansion valves. I believe it is freon passing through the expansion valve. Normal noise best as I can figure.
Although I did have to eventually replace an expansion valve on one car that made that noise quite a lot.
If it's working I'd leave it alone.
