Headlight housing slams down

Headlight housing slams down

Both headlight housings open normally, however the left one shuts forcefully and makes a slam sound... What should I be looking at?

I would look at the condition of the springs that move the lights....

also there should be the same number on both sides.....one could be broken or missing

Yes, after watching it a few times, it seems to be in the mechanism, and not the vacuum. It starts down, seems to get hung up, then slams shut. Maybe the pivot bearings are shot? Springs are all there.

It could be held back by an obstruction or the bearing might be able to be lubricated and worked back and forth to free it up.
If the bearing has seized and is being move by brute force, time to replace.
