Pace Car Paint Job Cost?
I’m not ready to do it yet, but was wondering about the price of a paint job on a 78 Pace Car. I’m sure there is a wide range of prices but just wondered what your thoughts are on what a show quality paint job would cost. The car requires no body repair.
Also it would seem that local shops might want to give a good deal on a specialty show car in exchange for advertising. Anyone had any luck with that, or is it just wishful thinking?

Free paint? Unless they get to paint it like a billboard, I say snowball in hell. :D
A show quality paint job on a pace car will be very, very expensive. Just a plain ol' everday repainting of my old '78SA was gonna cost me in the neighborhood of $4K, which is one of the reasons I sold it & bought the '69.

When I went to have my car painted all the estimates I got were for between 5K and 6K. Unded up doing it myself for just under 1K. There are a few very small flaws but the money in my wallet makes me forget about them.
