Hooker, American Racing Headers. I bought some very decent new silver heat coated block huggers off ebay for around $100 for an L98 project. My current Vette has 1 7/8 Hooker Supercomps. Long tube are better for most applications, probably. Stock engine? Mine is fairly modified so the big Hookers work well. Someday - sidepipes. Query the supporting vendors listed here for their recommendations.
I like my hookers, but there long tubes. There are several makers of the short tubes. If comps show the same fitment as there lt's then that's who I'd choose. Why not go long tubes?

The long tube headers i just installed give me no clearance (4'' or so) under the car when
I lowered it. I just installed my crate engine 355 blue print, figure I'll address this now before completing exhaust system.

Thanks, John
Try Sanderson Headers. I had a set on my '64. Very nice part.
I have heard good things about Sanderson as well JBA headers. I have McJacks. I have a completely rebuilt 355 L-82 now and don't want LTH either-too many clearance hassles-engine bay and road clearance. Not interested for a street vehicle.

I purchased them off E-bay the company is Speed Daddy Polished stainless steel. They look to be a decent quality but the clearance is not good for my needs. I've decided to purchase some medium length headers this should give me the clearance and not cut back on the performance to much. I'm going to get the ones from Summit that are silver ceramic coated, Patriot Tri-5 headers. Hopefully this will do the trick.

I just purchased some from sanderson but they dont fit on the driver side. This is a test fit before I pulled the motor. This is a stock L48. These are the CC134DP models made for my ZZ383. I hope they fit better when I put the ZZ383 in, but I dont think they will work. Not sure if any fit without some adjustments ?
Lots of shorty choices out there. I was researching for my situation (angle plug heads) and found JBA 1815S, Flowmaster 814120, Hedman 68390, and Patriot H8052, with others available. I can't vouch for fit of the others, and just got the Patriot's a few days ago. I'm sure they will fit (so I say now...), but need to modify the head pipe to reach since they are so short. You can also look for take off manifolds from C4s/ That's what I had on the car before, and these should be cheap to buy if you can find them.
I have no idea what shipping would be, but I don't need mine anymore...
Passenger side with alternator mount welded on. F adapter is bolted on.
Edit to above. The Patriot H8052 fit the heads great, and the passenger side with lots of room, but they hit the steering box on the drivers side. Not sure if the H8065 or H8037 will be better, but I might try those next.
The McJack's are designed specifically to fit the C3 corvette and they do. A little expensive but there is no guessing and wasted shipping back and forth and restocking fees.
