Default 73 body on 70 frame

I am putting a 73 body on a 70 frame. I have the rear clip on the frame and it appears to sit up about a half inch higher than before. I noticed the rubber gas tank spill catcher does not touch the body. Is this normal? I have not tightened the body mounts a whole lot.

Next in the front the holes on the frame horns don't match the front 5mile an hour bumper extension frame. I had heard that you have to ream out a few holes to make it work. My question is which holes are supposed to line up and which do I have to alter. In reading posts people said to not alter the frame alter the frame extensions. I have four holes in the frame horn two with welded nuts two just holes. Anyone done this before? Got pictures?http://forums.corvetteforum.com/imag...ies/crazy2.gif

I have not done this, but I think the #4 mount brackets on the frame are not welded on the frame in the same height location as 68-72's.

On one of my 73's, I dropped a 73 body on a 68 frame. There were no issues except, as you've noted, you'll have to drill a couple of holes on each of the frame horns for the 73's 'battering ram'.

Is the body on the frame now?
