350C -- has electronic torque convertor lockup. I believe it is controlled by the computer.
My 1980 had the same, but it was controlle by a vacuum module mounted on the drivers side firewall, right next to the windshield wiper motor.

Funny how someone who obviosly knows a thing or two about cars(judging from your stable) can get thrown by a torque converter. :)

thx...LOL i know i am ashamed of myself, i never even gave it a second thought i just assumed it was a th350, then i read another post mentioning it was a 350c, ive never delt with a lockup 350 before so i dont know what works and what dosent, im guessing it will not work with a non lockup converter? so if that is the case its gonna set me back another week to built a normal th350 to swap in place of it................jst hafta wait for someone to come up with a answer :chevy

I would contact TCI or B&M on that one. I am pretty sure you can, obviously loosing the lock up portion of the system though. But I would talk to the transmission gods on that one.....
