Does anyone else have an 8-track in their vette. Mine is a 79 and it still has the original 8-track (no casette). Is this worth anything? hehe. I want to pull it out eventually and stick in a cd player. I just thought it was neat with a 8-track.

Re: 8-track? =) (SicChild)
8 track to CD was the first "mod" on my car. It lasted about the time it took to order and ship the new unit from Crutchfield.
The stereo wouldn't tune 100.3 very well as we have stations at 99.9 and 100.7. I sold it, to someone here on the forum. Don't know if it ever played 8-tracks.
It might be worth a few bucks to someone who wants to restore back to original... but it's not all that valuable. 8-tracks were in just about every vehicle back in the early 70's. Not rare at all. Home stereo components had them too. Very common.
in 1980 in HS. i had the coolest car steroe system in school in my 70 Nova. 8track with a 50 watt power booster (25w per channel). if you pull the 8track out for a cd player... save if for the future.
