Default 71 Vette Brake Light Issue

The left brake light on my 71!does not work. The right light works fine. Bulb is correct and good. There is no power to the yellow wire when the brake light switch is engaged, however there is power to the green wire (therefore the right brake light works). The strange thing is when the right turn signal is on there is power on the yellow (left)brake wire that can be switched with the brake light switch.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

The brake lights a routed through the turn signal switch so the turn signal can override the brake light on the side that needs to blink. My guess is that the contact inside the TS switch that drives the left brake light when the turn signal is not activated is giving the problem. Start your troubleshooting there.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense.
