INST LPS Fuse blowing help
Tried to take the 72 out at night for the 1st time since rebuilding, but all the dash lights were not working.
My 5amp inst lps fuse blows when I pull on the headlights. I have tried lots of things and am at a loss.
I have no console, gauges or instrument lights.
Here is whats going on over all. Any help would be appreciated.
1. turn the *** to the left, but still pushed in, the under dash lights come on.
2. pull the *** out the 5amp blows, head lights work, tail lights work, high beams work, highbeam light is ok, parking brake light is ok, head lamp door light is ok, and door ajar is ok.
3. I put a light on the incoming side of the fuse and it lights up. I dim it and it eventually turns off (My light not able to dim). of course the lps spade is dead also, and the out side of the fuse is dead also.
4. put the light on the green wire in the switch it does eventually go off as you dim it.
Possibly the switch? what else could I look at?
