I know I know but if I don't fix this Civic the Corvette will get abused as a daily driver in the worst part of town...sorry. This ruined my Saturday plans to R/R the rear spring and poly bushings on the Vette (don't want to mess with the Vette if the Honda goes down for the count). My 93 Honda Civic EX overheated today and I found the elec. fan was not coming on. All fuses, relays work. The fan itself works when ran directly off a 12V source. I Bubba'd a bridge off another power source and the fan runs (all the time) when the engine is on. Okay temporary fix. The car runs fine until about 20 minutes it starts overheating and I have to run the heater which cools it right down but leaves me sticky wet. No coolent loss, no oil loss ( so no head gasket problems???) , no apparent fluid leakage anywhere. Can't determine if thermostat/ water pump bad just from looking down into the radiator water with engine running like a Chevy (just doesn't work that way). If this was a 350 the problem would have been solved in less than an hour. PLEASE ADVISE FULLY PISSED OFF AT HONDA RIGHT NOW! Again moderators sorry about the post.

ONe thing for sure, those cars will NOT take any overheating....
second off, just stick with a switch/relay combo that turns on the fan every time the engine is running and be done with it....makes life simpler...
there is a fan relay in there somewhere, you need get to the signal side of it, that closes the contacts and runs fan....this is on one side of the coil, obviously I hope you understand what I said, otherwise you won't be able to do it...
