Will clear coating the engine compartment keep it new looking?
After 2 months in the 90+ heat finally got the engine and front end rebuilt and just about all back together. Now I have noticed on some of the steel tranny lines there is surface rust forming along with some of the a arm bolts that are not painted. Is it possible to clear coat the engine compartment to maintain that fresh look?. I know the dealers use something on the engine compartments but not sure what. Does any one know if clearcoat will work or is there something better to use?
