I just replaced my gas tank yesterday, along with all associated rubber hoses at tank and fuel pump.

If the gas leaked out at the gas tank location, I would first look at the connection at the fuel sending unit. There is a short 3/8" hose that goes from the sending unit to the metal fuel line. How old is the gas tank and hose?

It could also be a leaking fuel tank, leaking sending unit, or a defective o-ring at the sending unit.

So where is the leak, and does it leak when sitting or when the engine is running? In the rear, the lines run from the fame to the top of the tank, and a rubber hose connects the line to the tank. If the leak is in the rear, then it's most likely the tank. If one of you fuel lines rusted through at a point lower than the tank, then there may possibly be som siphoning action that would drain the tank as well. I would not look at the rubber connecting hoses at the top of the tank as the cause because if they are compromised, then the siphon would be broken. There should be a large dark spot on either the frame or tank where ever the leak is.

If the leak is in the front, I would look at the rubber lines first, and then the fuel pump.
