Default 1980 AC Door flap issues

Hello all, new to the forum, first post. I have what is probably/maybe a usual issue. I just got this car a few months ago, it had sat in a private garage undriven for 5 years, have gotten it up and running and ready to drive, but it is 100 degrees here daily and I cannot get the AC vents in the dash to work, when i flip the selector from vent/heat/defrost, the only place I get air is defrost when its on defrost, dont get floor or vents in dash to blow, but defrost cuts off when im on vents or heat, I hear the spring "boing" when i flip the selector, so I guess my flap is not moving all the way. I dont hear any vacuum leaks per se, doesnt mean I dont have them, but have had mud dobber nests in everything, so they might have built one in my flapper door. How do I get to this door? I removed the glove box and all seems ok there, temp flap works fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! I have chilton, Haynes and factory service manuals and not a one has anything on this system so not sure where to start. Dont want to have to dissassemble more than I need to. Thanks in advance for your help!

The main door (s) are located here:

You can see one on the side and one in the front. How do you get to them. You'll have to pull the center dash bezel out of the car. If you go to this link, you'll see dash pad removal instructions. Skip over the first part and go to page 4... pick it up there and it will be a step by step for you. http://willcoxcorvette.com/repairand...lp.php?hID=263

I'm also posting the function/flow chart for your car so if you are in there testing you'll see what opens when.

Thanks for your help! I didnt have to do much digging at all, when I pulled the center console i found a vacuum hose cut going to the selector plug, I removed the cut piece and reattached the end and flaps working good now, My air blows strong when engine is idling, but once in gear and driving falls to a trickle out of the vents, once Ive stopped and put it back in park it blows strong again, I cant tell if its the fan slowing or vacuum issues (hard to check when your driving), but thats my next adventure, everything else vacuum related seems to work good, headlights, etc, but thanks again for your help, Im in need of parts, will be looking ya'll up!
