Default Feedback please!

I was curious about any experiences everyone may have had with "Vette Brakes and Products" and if that experience was positive or negative. The reason I ask is because I ordered a complete brake kit (Master cylinder, new lines for entire system, new calipers (O-ring, stainless steel cylinder), brake pads, E-brake shoes, braided stainless lines for each wheel, etc. over a month ago and all I have received so far is the braided stainless lines for each wheel. I have sent email after email, and called with no calls returned. I did make contact with one person (Drew) one day and I was told that their "vendors" were running behind and that they were expecting deliveries any day. That was a week ago. This is my first experience with them and I must say that it has not been positive so far.

Default At least there stuff fits and works!

Bright side:
A few years ago I purchased a power steering control valve and cylinder and adjustable poly strut rods. No leaks and everything was a direct fit replacement.
Dark side:
It took more than 90 days to get my core credit.

I really don't care about the core charges. I was planning to keep my calipers anyway. I would just like to receive the parts I ordered and get this all put together and make it right.

You pay the core deposit up front, if you don't send the cores back you forfeit the deposit.
Just say'n.
Call them up and find out how fast they can ship.

There is no excuse for the delay. I would have my credit card company stop payment immediately. Most of the suppliers buy the calipers from Lonestar Corvette

I had to do a stop payment on my calipers to insure delivery due to poor service and then had to keep the core deposit stopped after the best know supplier on here tried to rip me off for the core charge, despite having the calipers returned.

It should take a vendor no more than 5 minutes to refund cores. They just want the funds in their bank, not yours.

I bought front coil over springs, and rear fiberglass spring. Items were shipped in a few days. Also bought 10" rear spring bolts from them.

No specfic experience with them, but my general business experience for the past few years is that no one is keeping any inventory. I order items I need for my business, and not one vendor can complete the order without something being backordered. Not making excuses for them, and maybe their customer service people need to make a call or send an email, but they have been around a long time and I doubt they would have lasted that long if they were trying to cheat people.

The OP stated VB & P was waiting on their supplier. So they sure aren't doing them at their shop.

I used VB&P earlier this year for the full calipers (o-ring), rubber lines, steel lines for the rear, fluid, pads, etc... Everything was a direct fit and easy to install. However, I too waited awhile to get the parts in. After two weeks I sent off a message asking for an update, got a reply in less than 24 hours that things were on backorder, but that their shipment was coming in and I had all my parts within another week. So a little longer than I would have liked as I had plans to install them on a certain weekend, but wasn't the end of the world.

They also did not charge me until they shipped the items out. No core, no deposit, no nothing until the items were shipped. That is how I realized they were on the way and two days later I had all the parts in my garage.

7t9l82, Are you running QA1 in front and rear? I got Qa1 as part of my front coil over Kit from VB&P but have not purchased the rear shocks yet. Any suggestions would be helpful..

Thanks

Earlier this month,I ordered an O ring conversion kit and had them in 5 day's. They even called to let me know they were shipped and on the way. This is the second time I've used VB&P and I've had no issue's.

Why not just order from Lonestar direct? Plus they were cheaper than any vendor's advertised price.

Asked sales a question about some poly bushings, never got a reply. Hesitant to order if answering such questions takes well over two weeks (assuming I'll get a reply eventually).

they are a comparatively small shop and get backed up, my suggestion is call them. otherwise it may take a while . if its any consolation I've requested info or feedback from really big companies and never heard back. so i always use the phone if its time sensitive.
