Default 1972 dash harness wire ID

I have been cleaning up the dash harness and have a couple of cut wires. I have lectric and NCRS but can't seem to locate these wires. The 1st is a black and white by the fuse box. I know black is usually ground, but this does not appear 14 ga.

Second is a solitary white that has a male/female connector and then the wire goes over the steering column and then was cut. It also is in the part of the harness running in the drives door jamb (through the opening of the body mount point) to the rear of the car.

Any info is appreciated.

The single white wire is probably for the rear courtesy lamp.

Does your car have the alarm system with the key in the rear , I am new to the corvette world and it took me a while to figure out what the key in the back was for (No remotes or key fobs in 72)

All 72s had factory alarm. The owner's manual explains how to arm and disarm it.

Any info is appreciated.

I also recommend Dr. Rebuild's laminated wire diagrams; I find them extremely helpful with running down mystery (bubbadized) wiring like you described.
