The original pump was moaning a lot so I changed it out for one of the rebuilt ones that are advertised all over the web. After a few hours running this one was moaning almost as bad as the original. After a lot of reading I have established that most of the Saginaw pumps for sale have new seals, maybe a bush replacement and a paint job so it is pot luck if the rest of the pump is okay. I have found an outfit in Florida called Corvette Stainless Steel Brakes who offer a fully reconditioned pump but they have not responded to my e mails. Has anyone here dealt with this outfit? Another one was Tuff Stuff pumps who claim to have a New Zealand agent but I don't see any listing for them here in NZ. Are their pumps any good? Because freight is so expensive to here I don't want to risk another cheap "rebuilt" pump.
Any help much appreciated!
Hi, thanks have read the posts at the link, I will wait and see what krc come back with but if the pump is selling for a k there by the time I pay freight and tax with conversion to our dollar I will be looking at $1,500!
