Muffler pinning
Hi all,
I recently replaced the mufflers on my 69 c3 as the ones on the car (flow masters ) were way too loud and there was a drown through the car that was killing me. The guy in the muffler shop put mufflers on that were a bit too quiet and the v8 sound was gone but the drown was reduced not as much as I would like but it's done now. I went back and he put a restriction in the balance pipe and it did sound better (v8 sound). A month later and the left muffler started to make a pinging noise at idle reluctantly he changed the muffler and the noise went, fixed right.....it's back same side same noise definitely the muffler. Any ideas ???? Very frustrating
The car is a 69 with a mild cam extractors and Holley 650
