I've come to realize that my pulley setup is "Bubbafied." I had a long water pump and all the pulleys to go with it.
The P/S pump currently on the car has a bracket designed to hang from the water pump. After installing my new Edelbrock aluminum water pump (yes it's the proper one) I found it has no such mount to hang the P/S pump from. The long pump on the ZZ4 would be fine but the mount is threaded.
Bottom line is I have no idea what the proper way is to mount the P/S pump.
Re: Power steering pump, how does it mount? (Cookwithvette)
Mounts with 2 bolts lo and into the engine block just to driver's side of balancer....and the rear V shaped baracket fit under an engine mount bolt to the front of the engine has the adjustment slot in it...front of pump behind the pulley has bolts though main bracket...the V shaped baracet is in the back..

Yep, my pump bracket is Mr. Bubba as well. I think he just took the whole setup off of a chevy truck or something. Think I found an image that looks like what you describe. This about right?
