Default Orange peel/paint finish question

How long does it usually take for a vette to sit in the sun for the paint to be affected with "orange peel"?

My understanding of orange peel is as follows:

Paint does not come down with orange peel. It either has it or it doesn't. A bad spray, one where the gun is too far away, will create orange peel. A way to correct this, is by wet-sanding.

After my car was painted, it looked like crap. Lots of orange peel and dust nibs. Then I wet sanded. Boom. It looks fine.

And orange peel is gone for good. It will not reappear, over time.

I hope this helped.
