Default speedometer cable ,need bushing?

Hi everyone, still working on my 73...almost ready to drive! Issue is I ordered a new speedometer cable, the end of the cable is square but the female part on the trans is round with a slot (see pic)...I have a muncie 4 speed, I talked to a guy from one parts store and he said my 90 degree fitting is a Stewart-Warner and I can find the piece I need on E- barf....no luck. Wrote to Mr. Speedometer with picture ,no reply. I think that maybe the piece fell out while the old cable was off and I most likely swept it up.What I need would be round with a ribon the outside and the inside would be square to fit the cable. Would need to be hollow....thinking was some sort of plastic or metal...does anyone know how or where to get this piece?? Many thanks to all.

best of my knowledge the link below is for the part on the transmission that the speedometer cable screws onto, I have a 69 Muncie and do not recognize the part in your picture. Does that part disassemble further? why is it using a 90 degree fitting?

Thanks for the reply. I received a reply this morning from Mr. Speedometer, a company in Canada that has many adapters. They recognized it and said the bushing it is a GM part. They will sell me one for $18.00 and I assume shipping from Canada....I am going to stop by a Chevy dealer today and talk to a friend who works behind the parts counter...I may get lucky or I will spend the $18.00 plus.

Posting this info for anyone who may also need this adapter. GM part #25032338, also part # 88961013...both cross reference. Not made anymore and prices vary from anout $12.00 to $30.00. Found mine for $11.51 plus $12.95 shipping at Tonkin online parts. The price is a lot for a tiny piece of plastic and I was almost ready to hand carve one with a Dremel but paid the price.
