would like to pass on a word of advice about PST and their rear rebuild kit. Don't get me wrong, i think PST makes awesome products and they are great to deal with however....
They sent me there polygraphite rear bushing kit. The kit does NOT include the outer bushing shell!!!! If you buy this kit and your going to use your outer shells, LEAVE THEM IN YOUR TRAILING ARMS. Don't try to press them out, you'll just mangle them in the process.
When i did mine, i ASSUMED, the new bushing would be complete. Was i wrong. Also, i don't know of any company that just sells the outer shell.
I had thrown my in the trash.
When it came time to put it all back, wow was i shocked that it didn't with the outer shell. I checked the packing list thinking that they had missed it. NOPE, the kit doesn't come with one. Who the #%&@ sells you a half a bushing!!!!!!
The fix was buying a new set of rubber bushings from NAPA for $21.00 and melting the rubber out to get the outer shells. Grant it, it was an inexpensive fix, i was a little pissed at the time, however, i still think that PST is a goos place to do business, just be fore warned. The rear trailing arm bushings does NOT come with the outer shells.
I feel so much better now that i have that off my chest. :D
It sounds disappointing, but my guess is that you would have pressed the
old sleeve out for a new one, even if you knew you had to buy it separately.
It's a shame that they can't provide one - how much can a steel sleeve cost to make ?? 0.50 ??
