Here is what I currently have on mine.
Reverse flow Hookers.
Anyway there are 2 versions BB and SB. Are these the BB or SB?
Id venture to say they are restrictive, yes. Cool photo though.

Thanks! I have been looking for some way to figure out what to put in my new Hookers. Old ones have rusted out and I'm pretty sure the inserts are either not going to come out or come out in pieces. Very helpful info.

That list is stock type mufflers NOT sidepipe inserts.
My books Say Stay Away from Louvered Core, go with Drilled Core.
I have been searching every archive known on the debate for pry 2-3 years now.
Im finally going to purchase some fresh sidepipes, pry drive around without inserts for a while and judge the response from neighbors ect.

Doh! Well maybe some info can be extrapolated from it, maybe.
I have listened to all the videos on youtube and the manufacturers sites, but most videos are of BB engines with modified cams. Mine is a stock 1975 350.
Read all the stuff on the Forum too. Can't figure out what to buy, and at $185 a pop, I'd like to get it right the first time.

I bought the glass pack Hookers with my side pipes. Choked it off bad.
I'm running a 468 big block with aluminum heads and bigger cam.
I didn't want to waste anymore money, so I made my own baffles.

What are you looking for? Quiet or loud or in-between?

I like what I have. They are semi loud, but not tinny when I rack them off. A nice rumble at idle. But, I don't want to loose a lot of HP as my 350 isn't that powerful to begin with. I think glass packs would pizz off the neighbors and maybe the police too. Nothing tinny.
If I measure the inlet and outlet of what I have, that may indicate what they might be?

I could send you a video of a '69 BB with open Hookers that might dissuade you from trying.

Here's what mine sounds like with the Max Flows on a 385 stroker engine.

Sorry, bad video settings (slowed/jumpy), but the sound is good.

If bad videos are OK, here's the open headers video I mentioned above. '69 427/390 with Hookers. Loud!

Sounds Great.
Ya I have a old gm tech worker about 3 blocks from me that builds stock cars up- from a stack of tubing, guy drives around with bare engine blocks in his town car. OPEN HEADERS over there, his engines wont even run at idle, only id say above 3K.
Sometimes i get him going when I rev up mine few minutes later there he goes. Probably laughs when i go by...

The LS1 forum list of mufflers for sidepipe inserts is comical at best. Missing some.
