can anyone verify for me if the two prong connector is on backwards? should mention this is a 1979

Yeah that's the same one I have and you are right, it looks as if activating that circuit only routs to ground through the defogger anyway via the black wire. (I have the rear window defogger option)

However this being DC voltage I wasn't sure if reverse wiring that relay shoved something the wrong way inside the relay housing causing a short. Grasping at straws now because everything looks right but still popping fuses on AC high.

OK I like to post resolution when I solve these.

Idle Stop Solenoid was bad, shorted.
