Side pipes inserts

Side pipes inserts - from dougs headers, not sure what kind of insert ive been supplied tho, there internal diameter is 2.5 inch, are these glass packed or ??, what type are they?

also can you use the inserts, in a different flow direction, so gases flow over the fins, rather then into them??

planning big bhp with vette, so just trying to work out weather these inserts are going to affect horse power etc

Look at Hooker Max-Flows, they are also 2.5", but without all the obstructions.

I had sweet thunder inserts max flow for my GSR LT4
and will have them for my LS3 427 618hp for my project below. Both have 3 1/2 side pipes

i have 2.5" sweet thunders and they work well, i get lots of good comments from people. they do have a kind of fluttering sound at low r.p.m's so i don't leave it there long

. very happy with them.
