steering
Hi everyone, when I hit a pot hole or a bump in the road, my car sways. It just goes in any direction. I have cannged the steering cylinder, bushings in the front end the front bearing have been checked and they are ok. It has also had an allignment. Any clues??????? :confused: :chevy

Could be your rag joint but also the steering box itself. I had the same problem, replaced everything and finally went at the steering box. Replaced all the bearings and seals and adjusted it but it still wasn't right. I eventually traced it to warren bushings in the box itself. The pitman shaft had over .006 play and you want .001. After replaceing the 3 bushings it steers like a new car.
