Got my replacement "NQP" upper dash pad from Corvette America. (Looks fine!!!). Anyway, did a search on this topic and not sure if the lower pads need to come off for installation. I know to remove upper screws on those pads and the pillar posts but obviously, would like to leave lower pads in place if possible. Must I remove the dash to replace the upper pad?
You only have to remove the right (passenger) side and the pillar posts, plus upper screws for left. The right will give you enough room to remove the center forward screw on the top pad. Flex it (with speakers removed) and you're out.
