Temp guage
Lets see how good you guys and gals are. My temp guage read normal until I put mu headlights on. Just had some work done under the hood, what do you think they did? :confused:

OOOOOOppps When I turn the lights on, it spikes over past the red zone all the way to the right. When I turn off the lights it goes back to normal. :confused:

My fuel gauge goes left when I turn on my lights. One of us most live in Bizzaro world. :)
I need to do a diag but I don't drive it much at night so I tend to forget about it.

My guess is either a bad ground wire or corrossion on the back of your gauges. I use to have all sorts of weird problems with my gauges until I removed all my gauges and cleaned the electrical connections with a pencil eraser and electrical cleaner. Have not had another problem since.

pretty common. a lead on the PCB of your guage is grounding to the lamp voltage. vary the intensity of the lamp and it will move the needle, at least mine does. New PCB is 130 ish
