Default New Part(s) Update from Willcox ... :D

Hi everyone-

I wanted to let you know that the adjustable resistors will be available in about three weeks.

There will be three designs,
1965-1967,
1968-1976, and
1977-1982.

This new resistor will allow you to trim your temperature gauge to match the sending unit in your car.

1968-1972 Customers will be happy to know that a perfectly working windshield wiper arm relay is now available. This is not the imported valve that was re-tool and still failed expectations. This valve is is made completely in the USA and 100 percent from scratch. This new valve has been tested repeatedly and more than delivered!!! We should have stock on this Wednesday.

That adjustable resistor may just be the ticket!

I'm installing EFI so I need to get a smaller 3/8" threaded sender for my gauge as I will no longer have a 1/2" port to use the OEM sender.
Rumor has it that a Borg Warner WT510 from a Volvo is "close" to the resistance required for my 69-
Any suggestions on using the WT510 with your resistor or do you have a better suggestion?
Thanks!

I make the reproduction senders turned to 3/8 npt. They are not cheap, I make them personally 1 at a time. But it might get you closer I'm not sure.

One thing we did on the resistor was to make allowances for any sender. So with that, the range of this resistor will allow for changes in both directions.

I do have the means to turn down my 1/2" sender to 3/8".
I was just hoping there was a relatively easy and inexpensive off the shelf solution.
Guess I'll have to experiment.
Thanks!

Lou.. it won't matter if it's a 65 a 68 or a 75.

None of the repro senders are correct and I've emphasized this over and over. Sure you might get lucky and get one close but none will function 100 percent correct.

With this resistor, you'll be able to dial the gauge in..

My next project.. how to convey to a customer how to "Dial it In".

We have IR guns here we use but most customers won't have this. So maybe the best way would be to find out what thermostat is in the car and then.... when the upper hose gets hot, move the dash unit to match that temperature...

This is going to be my next hurdle on this for sure.
